We returned to the UK at the end of June to attend Claudia’s latest graduation! This time both she and her lovely husband Benj were given their Doctorates from Oxford. Normally called PhDs, Oxford calls them DPhils, but it the same thing. The wait time for graduation ceremonies is long because the venue - The Sheldonian Theatre – is so small, so it was fantastic that they managed to organise it for the same day; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Here are a few photos of the day, with Oxford looking as beautiful as they did!

We spent the rest of the time in the UK visiting family and friends again, interspersed with numerous healthcare appointments. One of which involved me having a second scan to check out my errant  left kidney. Turns out that I actually have a duplex kidney on that side – 2 small mutant ones that probably don’t work so well but of no concern as they have been there all along. Reassuring to know and amusing to have gone from one kidney to three!
