We arrived at the boatyard at 07.45 in time for a swift efficient haul, more impressive as the travel lift basin only had about 6” clearance on either side (150cm for those of you in the old world!)

We find ourselves in the midst of several Volvo Oceans Race sailing boats – presumably their back up boats as the race is currently on the leg between China and New Zealand. This pink boat is called SCA – the GB boat with an all women crew.

We have also been able to use this mailing address to get various boat stuff sent so had many presents to open on our arrival. The Ugly Fish package contains plastic lock covers for the engine compartment – no fish ugly or otherwise!

Most importantly though, the crossbeam arrived after it long, tortuous and stressful journey from France that began in November last year.
