Left the Spanish Virgin Islands for a 3 day sail to the Turks and Caicos, entertained by a female frigate bird harassing a pair of brown boobys. She dived at them every time they tried to take off from the water. Didn't seem they had any food so either she was just in a bad mood or something had happened earlier and she held a grudge - for about 10 mins! Displaying why they are called Bird-of-War. Sailed under a moody looking sky over Puerto Rico and crossed the Puerto Rico trench - the deepest part of the north Atlantic at 7000m. Not much to see other than a group of Portugese Man-of-War. Military wildlife today!
Arrived at Cockburn, Grand Turk after an uneventful sail with good weather and the gennaker up most of the way. Small flat island with unremarkable buildings but the inevitable cruise ship dock. T+C not particularly interesting islands, but the sun, sea and diving are fantastic.
