Fantastic news from Claude today. She has been offered a job with the Zoological Society of London helping to run their EDGE project. One of the best acronyms I have come across, it stand for Evolutionarily Distinct and Globally Endangered. The programme aims to:

-          Raise awareness of the worlds EDGE species

-          Implement targeted research and conservation actions to halt their decline

-          Train in-country scientists (called EDGE Fellows) to help protect them now and in the future

Claudes job is to support the fellows and starts with a one month trip to the PHillipines to begin their training. She will also have to travel to their various countries to help too. EDGS species include orang-utans, giant pandas, river dolphins, Mexican salamanders..............

................possibly one of the coolest jobs in the world!
