Yesterday we rested and made preparations for the trip around Hatteras as the weather looks good for the weekend. Today we went to the marina to fill up with diesel and struggled getting off the fuel dock as the wind was in the wrong direction. After a while we realised something diabolical has happened….the port propeller has fallen off. This, despite Nick checking it whilst repairing the starboard one 2 weeks ago. Apparently it is a known fault with this make of sail drive although they have now addressed the problem. Looks like we will be stuck here until we can get another one sent. At least there are shallow sandy beaches here, so we should be able to reverse in for the repair like last time.
