Nick and David went out for a tour of Greenport. It turns out that the north shore of Long Island is a burgeoning wine district. Photographs of interesting buildings as ever, including the blacksmiths and the jail, conveniently located next to the brewery.

During prohibition rum running and Speakeasies were an important part of Greenport’s economy. The residents could outrun the coastguard as they knew their waters so well. The illegal booze was sold at Claudios restaurant, apparently now the oldest single family owned restaurant in the US.
