Today we went ashore and cycled to Aldi (the German supermarket that seems to be as successful here as it has been in the UK). A 7 mile round trip, which is about the same as cycling from our house in Summertown to the centre of Oxford. 

Not so many beautiful old buildings .....

.....  but many more palm trees - and herons ignoring the local laws
