Up at 05.00 to go through the Cape Cod Canal with the tide with us. It is 10 miles long and we made it in an hour. The engines gave us 5 knots and the tide gave us another 5! We also passed 6 Naval Academy YPs and about 4 of their sailboats. The rest of the trip was uneventful although not much wind so slow and we had to motor. It was a little like a slalom course with hundreds of lobster pot buoys to avoid.
Arrived at Boston Marina about 16.00. Very exciting to be in a marina - a very rare treat for us.
Claude and Benj arrived yesterday and spent the night with Claude's school friend who is living here for the summer, teaching at one of the many universities. Nell and her boyfriend Brendon drove Claude and Benj to the marina and we had a lovely supper in the cockpit, despite a light drizzle.
