So what do you do when waiting out some strong wind in an anchorage? Start to prepare for when the mast has to come off for the new rigging to be made. All these wires and cables do something and they have to be disconnected from the mast at the time of the lift out! So it meant tracing and labelling them all, so when the time comes in August this year we know what ones to disconnect.

We have now met up with Ann and Paul in their lovely Halberg Rassy “Jacanna” while we are in the Peloponnisos. We are sailing to Kythira together before going our separate ways again. It feels surreal to meet up with other CCSC members so far from home.

One of the reasons for coming to Kythira was to have a small celebration. Chris and I got married recently and although we tried very hard to have the ceremony in Kythira, it just was not going to happen, so the next best thing was to have the announcement and celebration Kythira at least. Paul and Ann were in the Peloponnisos , so it was arranged that we would sail to Kythira to celebrate together.

A very big thank you to Paul and Ann. Ann made me a beautiful Greek herb bouquet, they both took the photos and provided the sparking wine. Just perfect.
