Glued to the dock

Well, still in Huatulco stuck at the dock. Its stopped raining after 3 weeks and weather is beautiful at last. Superb weather window to get south, but still awaiting Jasons immigration papers from Cancun, that we had to send back after clearing out of Mexico and unexpectedly clearing back in. All very complicated and big pain.

Also still trying to find help to do the 40hr non stop legs required on the next portion of the ship. Working on it.

Have almost finished some small repairs and updates to the boat, and she is fully fuelled. Sail need stitching and Trampoline needs re rigging which as Nick will attest to is no happy event. Apart from that the boats ready, the crew aint!

Had a great side trip (thanks Matteo) to San Juan Del Pacifico at 2,700 meters in the mountains. Freezing!

Stayed at a cabana hanging onto a cliff complete with blazing log fire and awesome views. Where it not for torrential rain and fog, the views would have been even more spectacular. Even so, great place, with an industry the seems to beased around magic mushrooms and illicit production of Mezcal (the mango one was especially good!). The locals were friendly, (no surprise) and food was great. Superb (and slightly exciting) drive through rain forest and clouds, with landslides around some of the blind bends and chicken buses thundering around trhe corners.

Anyhow, now just hanging out at the marina, and trying to get all the ducks ina  row to get out of here.

The bottom of the boat resembles a small forest, and needs scrubbing desperatley, so we may head out to one of the bays for an overnight under scrub and BBQ over the weekend.

Thats all for now, and very tentative date to leave MIGHT be 17 Sept (ish) weather permitting (which it hasnt done till yesterday)
