Great little town, and impressive mountains all around.

We were 50/50 whether to anchor next to 45ft ketch near to the beach or go into the non too cheap marina. The weather was a bit rough and we opted for the beautiful new marina. Two sailing boats only in here and its only been open 2 months. Immaculate and great service.

The aforementioned ketch was boarded in the early hours of yeterday morning by 4 armed men in masks, who shot off the hatch with a shotgun and held the 3 crew hostage while they robbed 12 grands worth of gear at gunpoint

Glad we didnt take the anchor option near the beach and goes to show you need to excercise more caution the further south you go. Also, guess the marina fees were worth it under the circumstances.

Off to the jungle for a hike today and to the National Park tomorrow, before we leave saturday for Drakes Bay, a very long daysail south and a marginal anchorage off a beautiful wilderness area by all accounts.

Water Maker - bust

Generator-bust

Propane Gas tanks-almost empty and no quick fill facility here in Quepos

Deck Fridge fixed

Diesel full, and two working engines and a very clean boat.

Our deckhand Enrique, aprt from a short run in with a rum bottle at Los Suenos has been excellent, and we will miss him. He flies back to Huatulco Mexico tomorrow. The boys will be gutted to see their fishing mentor go!

On we stagger.
