Around to the Bay and Lagoon at Barra Navidad
in very "rolly" conditions and a touch of lightning/rain to a very posh
marina. Costs 4 times more than the absolutely superb one at La Cruz, with about
4 times less in the way of service. Still, beautiful location and lovely gardens
& pools etc (pics below). Problem is The La Cruz marina was so good
that its hard to think of anywhere that would match it.
The town is accross the canal/lagoon, and is
a very funky, very scruffy, but very friendly little place with a few bars and
shops and two streets. Good seafood, and monster surf. We are pulling out of the
marina today to anchor in the big lagoon having cleaned up the boat and fixed
the alternator belt. This place is mad money, and not be dawdled around!
Hopefully Going to break out/inflate the kayaks and do a lagoon trip later
today. Its supposed to be nesting site for spoon billed something or others, and
is calm and "jungly" so should be nice.
En la Marina de Barra Navidad desde el martes
por la tarde y saldremos en unas horas a tirar ancla en la laguna por obvias
razones y asi tendremos la necesidad de hacer algo de ejercicio en los
kayaks. Los chicos han disfrutado de una linda picina como veran en la
foto y con unos nuevos amiguitos que estan en otro bote anclado por alli y un
par de dias mas de estar en muelle que nos da un descanso a todos.
Nos fuimos a hacer las provisiones del bote ayer por al medio dia y SI que fue
una experiencia diferente! Buscando cosa por cosa en una y otra tienda
ademas de encontrar al verdadero carnicero quien le ensenio a los chicos desde
como cortar la carne y que quitarle para luego ponerla en la maquina para
molerla!! Hoy iremos al mercado de pescado esperamos conseguir alguno
fresco y rico para un cevichito peruano!!!! YUUMMMMIIII

Estamos pensando salir de Barra Navidad
maniana por la maniana con destino a Manzanillo a unas 19 millas aprox donde
luego de terminar las provisiones quiza seguiremos lo mas rapido posible ya que
"DICEN que hay buen viento y tiempo" hasta el proximo miercoles y realmente
necesitamos avanzar lo mas rapido dentro de las posibilidades para llegar al sur
de Acapulco donde podremos tomarlo con un poquito de mas calma!!! Y ESO que
estamos calmadoooossss!!?
