Acapulco....... here we come!!!!

Sunday 1 August 2010 !!!
Left the beautiful Zihuatanejo Bay at 9:00 am to
start our journey to Acapulco. We had a very nice couple of days here as
it is a very authentic not to mention cheap mexican town.
Went shopping at the local market which is very
much the "real deal" with lots of hanging mystery meats, chicken being chopped
up next to the cloths stall (check for bits). Did the shopping at midday
to ensure maximum discomfort and good fun finding fuel also. Dinghy down
the river to a lagoon up a dirt track accross the garbage dump fill up two jerry
cans and back again. All operation 2 hours for 10 gallons of diesel.
On return the luxury international Marina proudly announced they had re opened
the entrance. Cheers.
Currently 10:30 AM no wind engines on route to
shrimping village 29 miles to go for an overnight rest before the final run
into Acapulco. Showers, water, fuel swimming pool and cliff divers
awaiting for us !! YUUPPIIII
