Good morning all.... (3rd
day at sea.... I guess 6th July 2010) 8:00 AM
Behind schedule due to complete lack of wind which
means very flat seas but slow progress on engines only.
Long night Paul ended shift at 4:00am where upon
our Mexican captain CHAVA took over the helm while Paul got some sleep, at that
time all was good with the boat headed towards the Vallarta. I got up by
pure coincidence at 4:30 AM and noticed the lights of Mazatlan visible for about
30 miles away. were on the WRONG side of the boat. A little concerned, I raised
Paul, who on inpsection found the Captain headed back towards La Paz having
unknowingly done a complete 180 turn and hadnt even noticed!!!! :)
Surely there was someone looking after my sleep and
woke me up on a perfect time, otherwise we would have being our way back to La
Paz. Paul was unimpressed to say the least and could not really get back to have
a rest until daytime.
We are now due in to La Cruz aproximately at 6:00am
tomorrow (I really don't know what day it is!!!) but should be
tomorrow morning arriving not as we thought yesterday that we would arrive this
afternoon :(
It has been a very pleasent night sleep not cold as
the one before and boys and I slept in the Jasons cabin all 3 of
us (just in case!!!)
I got it !!!! It is
only tuesday!? And we were woken this morning with a pod of
dolphins on the bow that stayed around and played with us for over 1/2 hour
doing jumps and flips to all our delight.
That concludes the morning report.

4:30PM
LAAANNNDDDD!!!!!!! Paul shouted at about
2:15pm. It is now 4:30 and we just past Isabela Island known as bird
sanctuary and there were quiet a lot of them all over the top and
around the fishing boats too. Terrible frigit birds taken
the foot from the beautifull blue boobies.
Now on our way with quiet a lot of nice wind and
fast too! Current speed is6.5Knots with 10 knots of wind and it feels like
we are flying a long! YOOOHHOOOO Nayerit here we come!!
Also to make things even
more atractive.... we got a TUNA (we say, or "BONITO" as
per Chava) it looks similar and for us it didn't matter it was our first
FISSSHHHH ..... one or the other we had a delicious CEVICHE!
dispite our differences on what kind and HOW to prepare it! And that
is not it!! We just couhght our dinner!!! WHAT A DAY!! This
time is a DORADO!! no doubt it is a dorado!! pictures to

Buenos dias mis companieros de
aventura.. 8:15 aprox AM
Esta madrugada me apunte un POROTAZO al despertarme
a la hora adecuada y percatarme (no se por que?) de que las luces de
Mazatlan estaban al lado opuesto del bote al que deberian (Segun mi GPS), asi
que luego de preguntarle a Chava y no tener una respuesta muy segura me vi
obligada a despertar a Paul para confirmar que nuestro curso era el
correcto.
Lamentablemente por razones aun no conocidas
estabamos regresando a La Paz y sin saber porque. Chava tomo el mando
en su turno a las 4:00am y por suerte habian pasado solamente 20
minutos entre que Paul le entrego el bote en direccion correcta hasta que me
desperte asi que en todo caso no habiamos "regresado" tanto, sin
embargo lo suficiente como que para Paul no regresara a dormir o descansar
sus horas. Ciertamente algo paso con el GPS que se desconecto por un
tiempo pero igual si teniamos el piloto automatico funcionando que es lo que
indica el curso que seguimos.
Con el GPS manual que tenemos y un poco de
conocimientos de navegacion a la antigua estamos desde entonces en el curso
correcto.
Esta maniana luego de un descansillo nos
despertamos con una familia de delfines maravilloso!! saltando y
siguiendonos como por 1/2 hora. Una bendicion sin duda poder
disfrutar de estas maravillas juntos. Hablando de
bendiciones....las estrellas de ayer fueron
increibles y gracias al poco viento y buena temperatura pude
disfrutarlas mucho mas que la primera noche!
Por cierto DEJE de ser cabeza de medusa gracias a
una maravillosa ducha que ademas de refrescante tambien me hizo sentir mucho
mejor. Solo que creo que MEDUSA me acompaniara por un buen rato ya que
apenas se seco mi pelo me converti nuevamente en una.
Hoy parece que sera un dia muy caluroso ya que no
hay ni un poco de viento y por mas que hay mucha nube se siente muy
pesado..... estamos a motor y posiblemente pasaremos el dia con
ellos.

2:15PM TIERRRRAAAAAA !!! El grito de
Paul. Pasamos la isla de Isabela aproximadamente unas dos horas mas tarde
luego de haber finalmente pezcado nuestro primer PEZ esta vez una discrepancia
entre atun (segun nosotros) y bonito (Chava) de cualquier forma fue consumido
casi inmediatamente en forma de un delicioso ceviche claro esta luego de algunas
"diferencias" en cuanto a COMO preparalo!!
Luego de unas tranquilas dos horas aproximadamente
pasamos por la famosa TIERRA!! La isla de Isablea que es conocida por ser
casa de gran variedad de pajaros.
Efectivamente se veian desde la distancia
muchisimos y de en ocasiones ya teniendolos muy cerca vimos como las
desgraciadas frigatas perseguian a los maravillosos patas azules. Una vez
mas lejitos agarramos viento y velocidad! se siente como que empezamos a
despegar!
Una maravillosa interrupcion al medio vuelo lo
hicimos al "pezcar" en esta oportunidad un DORADO que estamos esperando
disfrutar esta nochesita!!!!

Nuestro nuevo tiempo estimado de llegada a Nayarit
(La Cruz) maniana por la maniana, eso lo veremos y cuando tengamos internet
podran confirmarlo!!
