Carlisle Bay
A very peaceful night in Willoughby Bay. No other boats came in to join us.

After breakfast and coffee we left the anchorage aiming to have some hours sailing in a decent breeze and anchor for tonight in Carlisle Bay. There is a pretty exclusive resort here but not much else.

We had about 4 hours sailing today after an initial, and thankfully, brief interlude where we managed to wrap the main sail halyard around a spreader. Both Colin and Julia took a turn to steer, do some sail changes and keep a beedy eye out for coral. We all enjoyed it.

Now anchored in a little over 6m in the bay. The water is crystal clear and a beautiful turquoise colour. Superb for snorkelling. During the anchoring we managed to wrap the chain around two separate coral heads so Simon had to dive down to unwrap it! all good now, no damage to coral or our chain.

We will have a fine evening and a peaceful night here I hope.
