The four of us have been friends together now for over 20 years, since meeting up as you do, through our children and schools. We started holidaying together, at first in villas abroad, and then sailing on charters all over the world. 

Over the last 10 years, the idea of moving this up a gear and sailing off to warmer climes on our own boat for extended periods, has grown into the reality of actually owning a boat capable of supporting this adventure, a Beneteau Oceanis 50.  We looked at all kinds of boats and had a variety of ‘experiences’ which you can read all about in another article we had published in Yachting Monthly.
