The winds varied from less than 5 knots to 24 knots and it was particularly challenging in the gap between Martinique and Dominica…. Catherine and I felt it was life jacket territory for a while there!
On the plus side we have finally managed to get sorted on a plan for a local SIM card, internet access has been achieved and we are all back in business  “ on the line and in the web” to quote from Mama Mia!
I have also spotted my 1st turtle and my 1st pelican along with some very acrobatic seabirds swooping and diving for flying fish. 

Dominica is delightful, a very pretty island, multicoloured houses, very green and verdant. We will return here in the new year for a more leisurely explore. For now we will have a night on a mooring buoy here, move 18 Nm tomorrow to Portsmouth (yes really) where we are assured the welcome is grand and a BBQ on the beach including a rum punch is the thing for visiting yachties to do….and all for approx £12😉…… such a cheap date for a ruby wedding anniversary🤣🤣🤣.

Customs check in and immigration here was the swiftest yet….. 15 minutes all done, no doubt due to the imminent arrival of a passenger ferry load of tourists!

We end this evening with yet another Wahoo meal, this time with potato salad and green salad and even duff to finish!!
