Camaret 48:16.8N 004:35.3W Very little to report today blog followers! Departed Roscoff at 7am for the 65Nm to Camaret. On the plus side it has been mostly warm and sunny; rather too much swell on the water early morning which made for an uncomfortable passage and unfortunately the wind has been weak and almost always in the “wrong” direction for our destination. So we have motored 10 of the 11 hours it has taken us! Not much fun and expensive! We will have to top off with diesel again tonight. The coastline has afforded some distraction, lovely looking sandy beaches and hilltop coastal villages and paths but in general terms…….a pretty boring day! Confusion when we arrived…..the fueling pontoon has moved from the advertised position but we eventually got alongside and filled the diesel tank….again! We had hoped to anchor here but because it would have put us on a lee shore we opted for a mooring buoy just outside the harbour….sadly a visitor buoy without a tail strop so it was hard work! Anyway, finally all settled, just before 7pm, showers all round, pj’s on for the girls and a yummy supper of beef casserole, potato and green veg, followed by chocolate peach Melba surprise. Sally |
