Good follows bad After our bad day yesterday, we left La Coruna at 8am for the 2 hour motor to Saba, where the new part could be ordered and delivered. Nearing the marina, we had to make our way through fish farms and dozens of small fishing boats fishing for bait we think, the majority (of small boats) anchored, so easier to avoid. Once tied up safely, Simon and I walked to the chandlery, credit card in hand, and ordered the windlass part. It's due to arrive Friday now, so we are having some unexpected downtime. Following admin and cooking in the morning, and after lunch, we had a walk ashore. After clocking up sufficient ‘steps’, we stopped for Sally's favourite treat - ice creams! Delicious. The weather - sunny and windy (from the north), ideal sailing conditions (and in the right direction), but sadly not for us today. As we reflect on yesterday's problem, we realise it could have been a lot worse. The staff at Lewmar, the marina and the chandlery people here at Sada, have been so helpful and obliging. It all helps when faced with a bad and expensive situation. G&Ts on deck this evening, then off to the Marina bar for free beers, courtesy of Enrique, the chairman of Club Nautico, who we met earlier.
