The last 24 hours have been characterised by weak winds and we've been motoring all of the time. The seas have been very flat, at times mirror smooth. Ignoring the fact that we've been motoring, the ocean in these conditions is quite beautiful. Surrounded on all sides, as far as the eye can see by ocean blues and the sky meeting the horizon with just a slightly different hue only the occasional white fluffy cloud breaks the symmetry. There's nothing quite like this that you'll ever see on land.
This morning we actually landed our first fish of the trip, a skipjack tuna around 30 inches long. It's currently filleted and in the cooler but by this evening it should be inside our bellies.
