Kos

May 7, 2014

Sail across and enter Greece at Kos. It’s early season so we are able to set a berth in the old harbour. It’s run by Kos Marine and has all the hook ups. Depth a bit shallow for us at the quayside so have to keep the dinghy between us and the shore.

Entry procedure takes about an hour. Passport control at the ferry dock. Customs on the south west side of the harbour, Harbourmaster in the west. Aside from purchase of trip log, no significant cruising fee. As we are a non vat paid boat travelling under a UK passport, the maximum visa they would issue is 30 days.

Enjoyed Taverna Alexandros a few blocks back from the south west corner of the harbour. Lydia makes it happen.
