Vathi

Attacked by wasps we retreat to a bay 1/2 mile west for a swim and breakfast
- the wasps find us again and it is a hurried affair. Motor on southward to
Ithaca and anchor off the old windmills at the entrance to Kioni for a swim
and lunch.

Take a peak in Kioni harbour and decide it is too busy so head on to Vathi.
An afternoon breeze NW15 has come up so we have a fast sail the 8 miles to
Vathi. Strong (30+) katabatic winds met us as we sailed into Vathi Bay
adding a bit of excitement. Find a spot on the west harbour wall and are
helped with our lines by the adjacent taverna owner.

The crew investigates the dining scene and we decide on Nikos behind the
town square - excellent choice. Open kitchen style. Mixed plate of mezes
then roast lamb that was excellent.
