Arrive in Hvar at 1730 just as a boat is pulling away from the dock. Dock
master flags us in. Remarkable luck. We did not expect town to be busy this
early in the season but as we later found, all the space was reserved.

Wander into town planning on dinner at Luna where we'd been well treated in
the summer. Restaurant closed so go across the lane to Palaca Paladini.
Great ambience - courtyard with tall orange trees. Great waiter talks us
into the fresh fish - John Dory and Sea Bass with a huge plate of finger
clams as a starter. Much like mussels, done with olive oil and garlic. A
few calamari and clams included - excellent. The fish was probably as good
as we have had in Croatia - great texture and perfectly grilled. Expensive
as expected. $112/person including house wine.

Rain again in the night. Duncan & David climb up to the castle despite the
rain.

Dep at 1130 for Korcula. Wind in our face at 18 knots. Motor to Seedro then
set sail and bear off for Korcula.
