Savusavu
16:46.637s 179:19.644e We finally made our way up North and have been anchored for
a few days off the picturesque town of Savusavu. Nestled deep in Savusavu Bay,
the small town is Vanua Levu’s main port and has become a very popular
anchorage for cruisers and “home” for ex-pat retirees as well. Because
of the this, the town has many small shops catering to foreigners and we are
able to get some special treats here that have been difficult if not impossible
to find elsewhere in Fiji (like Sprite Zero for those diabetics in the crowd…whohoo!!!).
There are many inexpensive and tasty restaurants here as well which is nice
after spending so much time in Denaru with its overpriced food and Musket Cove
with almost no restaurants at all. We are working on planning some activities while
Aaron’s daughter is here so there should be some good pics to follow! ~LH |
