Anchored at the Bora Bora yacht club for about a week now.  The Yacht club is just a few tikki huts with a restaurant/bar.  The island is one of the biggest destination spots for honeymooners and the likes of.  Along the outer reef there are quite a few very expensive hotels that cater to those with no budget along with some for the young newlyweds.  On the main island is mostly the residences of the local population.  Cruisers anchor or grab a mooring ball in front of the B.B.Y.C. or further down in front of Bloody Mary's.  There were allot of boats there when we arrived and so it was decided that we would host the 4th of July party for the boats that we knew and a few that we didn't.  The Americans were outnumbered but that mattered little as everyone celebrated with equal enthusiasm.  One Brit had the nerve to show up draped it a British flag but by the end of the night, with the help of allot of Tahitian rum even he was pledging allegiance to the Stars and Stripes.  After sunset the music changed to club music and everyone danced  the night away under the moonlight.  It was a blast and no one managed to fall overboard either so the night was a success and one to be remembered.
