A lovely day’s sail with sun and blue skies, steadily beating our way south in 10-15kn of breeze. With the sea at its calmest yet, we put out our fishing line for the first time in the trip. In a two-hour period we hooked five fish! We kept a 6lb mahi mahi and a smaller fish which we think is a dorado. We threw back a beautiful blue and yellow jack fish, and two others escaped as we reeled them in. One of the two escapees was a monster, so Julie was quite pleased we didn’t have to wrestle with it on deck.

At current pace we expect to reach the BVIs some time on Sunday.
