It was a bumpy start to get around the South East of the Island and once on
our way heading North, leaving Nuku Hiva behind us, we had constant 20/25 knots
of wind and 3 meter waves on our starboard beam. More than we expected but
although rough, we sailed at a good speed and enjoyed making progress well
reefed down through the night.
As we are well into Day 2 now, sea and wind are slowly reducing, which
should give us a more comfortable night.
We are leaving the South Sea Islands behind us, filled with enjoyable,
magical and memorable impressions of lovely people, beautiful places, multitude
of cultures, exotic food and amazing wildlife.
