We crossed the continental shelf not long
ago, where the depth went from 4220 meters to 150 m, so we feel we are back in
home waters today. It was a great feeling of achievement, when we crossed our
outbound track from Benodet to the Azores, remembering the anticipation of
discovering the unknown (ourselves included!). We are heading in light winds to L’Ile
d’Oussant (Brest) and plan to keep going across the channel straight to
Dartmouth, where we look forward to celebrate the new arrival of baby Oakley to
our dear friends Richard and Danielle and their sweet daughter Saxony. We are excited and pleased to return to
England to be back with family and friends. Paul can’t wait to have his
hair cut with his barber Garry in Brighton, still faithful to him after 22
years... |
