After nearly a week in the capital, we were glad to get out of the busy
shipping harbour and back to island life. We would have stayed a little longer
here but the katabatic winds over the hills made it uncomfortable, so we up-
anchored and worked our way westward.
The village was very quiet with about 80 people living here and our
‘sevusevu’ with the chief was very low key.
For the children we were a little attraction, being the only yacht in the
bay and a small group went along with us on a walk along the beach.

There was a lot of singing and dancing, a lovely exchange between Catherine and
the children.
