Today was calm with the wind dying down in the afternoon, so we started to motor. We are expecting the wind to pick up tonight and be strong again by tomorrow, so we are heading confidently towards New Caledonia, now only about 183 nm to Havana pass.

Not far behind us is s/v Lady Bug and we look forward to more music with Chris and Rani when we arrive in Noumea. It's also pleasant to chat on the SSB radio, exchanging information on tides and currents for the pass as well as food recipes.

Like everyday so far, the sun is shining and very hot by 7 am.

Day 3 log (72 hours at sea) 442 nm
(3 hours motoring, which gives a good charge to the batteries and also good for making water, both tanks are full now!)
