Now at last heading in a more Southerly route
to Opua in 15 to 18 knots of wind, close hauled sailing well at 6 to 7
knots over the ground with full working headsail and staysail but still fully
reefed mainsail.
Today we were able to sit in the cockpit in lovely
sunshine and managed to dry out wet clothes and towels.
The Lewmar ocean hatches have leaked when swamped in
solid water, which is very disappointing and needs to be addressed with Lewmar
asap.
All is well on board.
Considering what we have been through the last 3 days,
we feel nice and refreshed and enjoy the lively sail, Paul thinks it's
lovely... I would prefer less of a beat into wind.
