At 14.45 UTC was our position given above. We are
now sailing on port beam reach more easterly winds than we expected. Yesterday
evening we just had enough time to change the sails before the sun was setting.
The sky is overcast with bright blue showing
through broken clouds and warm sun, when not covered. So no sunbathing weather
for us but good wind to keep us moving. The hydrovane is doing a brilliant
job for the last three days, which keeps our power consumption very low. Today
we had the generator and water maker working which topped up our water tanks and
batteries.
Thanks Steve and Carol for the net frequency. We
tried this morning but definitely have a problem with the setting on the
Furuno SSB, which we hope to resolve in the Cape Verdes.
398 NM to go!
