Bayona

Arrived in Bayona last night and were welcomed by Steve and Carol on Innamorata. Super! We have arrived safe and sound with the anchor well set. We enjoyed a restful night, just had a cooked breakfast on Innamorata, thanks to the bacon Jaz and Russell brought us to our anchorage at the Anchor Stone near Dartmouth. What a treat. Little Robin stayed the night under the saloon table and flew off this morning. Unfortunately we found Peppi last night who got squashed in the fore-cabin during our sail, how sad as we were so fond of the little tame fellow. We will do a sea burial a bit later in the day.
Peppi being at ease Robin at home on Kahia Approaching Bayona Unfortunately the strong wind (Force 6) and a second of inattention caused a jybe and with a big bang ripped our mainsail traveler out. We dropped the sail in a hurry and motored into the harbour. Now after a very enjoyable morning with Steve and Carol we have to work on Kahia and hopefully make a good repair of the damage, while Steve and Carol enjoy themselves in the Bay |
