We have been sailing for 42 hours, covered 231
miles and motored a little less than 4 hours, which is much better than we
expected in this latitude. We are working our way South to pick up the trade
winds and are enjoying our life aboard, getting used to our watches, which as
always are very flexible and gradually building up to 4 hours.
Paul saw hundreds of dolphins skipping the waves this
morning and I enjoyed looking at the photos on my watch, hoping to see some
later.
The night sky is clear and magnificent, mesmerizing us
in turns, when sitting in the cockpit. The sun is very hot and fruits are
ripening faster than expected, so we will treat ourselves to smoothies and fresh
juices over the next few days...
We are thinking of the Springtime and May
Celebrations in England and are glad to know the sun is warming up good old
Northern Europe! Lots of love to all who are reading this blog. In those quiet
times at sea, we so happily reflect on all the wonderful people in our life. Old
friends and colleagues, those new once we are making on this journey and
our dear, dear family spread all around the globe. It is great we can keep
in touch through modern technology.
