Baie Hanamoenoa
Apparently Eric Hiscock rated this anchorage as one of
the three most beautiful in Polynesia.
It is 1 1/2 hours sail from Atuona, so we had a
leisurely motor over to charge our batteries up. After a few nights of bad
swell in the other bay, this is paradise. The turquoise sea, white beach and
green hills are magnificent. We know the majority of other sailors in the bay,
as we met many around Panama and the Galapagos.
Here we will be able to hopefully fix the water-maker,
swim, snorkel and chill out.
(Sorry we can't speak on Skype, as there is no internet,
but the messages on iridium work wonderfully!)
