Davis [mailto:kahia {CHANGE TO AT} mailasail {DOT} com] Today we are motoring into ESE winds and
travelling over a calmer sea. Paul is feeling better now after his usual day 2
visit from Neptune and a 24 hour Mal-de-Mer, feeding the ocean and trying to
turn himself inside out. It’s good to see him smiling again, making jokes
and enjoying food. Homage to Catherine from Paul: “You have been great looking after
Kahia and me! As you have been so inspired by Ellen MacArthur I was proud
seeing you crawling around the Fwd deck in full gear (lifejacket and harnessed
on!)when a squall surprised us. That’s my girl, enjoying herself in wind,
waves and rain, retying ropes around the mast, while I checked on your safety
from the dry cockpit, glad I was unable to hear the words forming on your
lips.” The team is back to normal again, fully
functioning and awaiting the arrival of a favourable wind. The watch system is
now getting established as well, for us to get plenty of rest. |
