Still in Bonaire
Leaving Union Island. This is a bar can only be reached by boat. Clifton harbour was our first anchorage inside a reef. Kahia moored in Bonaire. We are just at the edge of the deep water Swimming and snorkeling off the boat is a true delight. The town is opposite us a few seconds in the dinghy to Karel’s bar dinghy dock. The music at night has pushed us to our limits a couple of times but we decided to stay a little longer. Karel’s Bar We were so pleased to catch up with our “mini rally fleet”, we had our Christmas eve dinner together.. Here at the ice parlor: Helen, Vibeke, Paul, Stephen(hidden), Paul and Rue. Next stop for them all are the San Blas Islands. We will still go to Curacao, the next Dutch Antilles, where we look forward to catching up with Jon. At breakfast this cruiser arrived and docked next to us. They left 6 pm to the next island. The piles you see in the water are for an extension to Karel’s bar, they also plan to build a big shopping mall to accommodate those cruise ship visits…what a pity. |
