Our camping tour of Oz is now over and by returning to Mackay we have joined the dots.  We have both had a fab time over the last few months. We have seen a lot of Oz and met lots of great people.
While we are here in Mackay we are spending time organising the boat for our return in May for the start of the next stage of our travels.
Our route home includes a 3 night stop over in Singapore before continuing on to the UK just before Easter.

Some 'interesting' things we have learnt about Oz over the past 3 months

* Early closing day is Saturday

* Every word is shortened, often with an 'o' added at the end.
Service station - servo
Off licence - bottlo
Sausages - snags
Car registration number - rego

* Glass sizes in a pub are different everywhere. The three sizes, pot (half pint), schooners, also known as midis, (3/4 pint) and pints are interchangeable from state to state and not all bars serve all sizes! Even the bar staff are confused!

We are both looking forward to a bit of time at home, it seems that we have been away ages! We have done a huge amount of travelling, having covered 12500km in the last three months by road, not counting the 4500km round trip to Perth done by train and plane! We have seen more of Oz than most Australians!
