Merry Christmas from St Lucia! while you are all enjoying snow we have been waiting for the rain to stop! Today is quite nice and sunny so the pool beckons. We have moved into a hotel about 10 minutes drive from the boat for a bit of luxury and pampering. Yesterday we treated ourselves to spa treatments, John had such a good deep tissue massage it took him all day to recover, and he is still a bit wobbly this morning, or is that due to last nights booze?? There is an honesty bar in the lounge so the self-service measures are quite large...
This hotel does a champagne zip-wire where they send the bottle down to the beach to you but up until now the weather has been so bad and the tide has been in all day so there hasn't even been a beach to sit on!
Last night they had organised Christmas carols in the bar, which was great, this was the first time we had heard carols, even Christmas songs have been a bit thin on the ground. The group were a bit late though as the rain yesterday had flooded parts of the island. The music was lovely and very different from the usual bawdy carols at the Grapes - at least John didn't get to sing!!

The food here is fab and all we have planned to do today is eat breakfast, chill out and catch up with family and friends, eat lunch, chill out and eat dinner - easy day. We hope to have more adventures round the island next week. We have a fab view of Pigeon Island from here - but you couldn't see it for rain yesterday.

Have a very Merry Christmas, lots of love and best wishes, Jane & John xx
