Crocodile Dundee??
Definitely some sun needed!
The next day the chap came to fix the car windscreen. We had a very frustrating morning trying to book our campsites for the next week until we arrive in Sydney. We have an Oz phone and two wifi chips with Vodafone, but must have been in the one place where we got little or no signal with Vodafone. We tried a few places but each was full and we were starting to get a bit concerned. It seems that most people here have Xmas at home and start travelling on Boxing Day as all sites were full from then on. We are also travelling on Boxing Day, so I guess it might be busier than we are used to.
In the evening we went to 1770 to see the sunset, as it is the only place in Queensland where you can see the sunset over the ocean rather than the land as it is on a peninsula.
One thing we won't miss when we leave this place is the noise, the birds are unbelievable and start no later than 4.30am. Then the sun comes up and basically boils us out of bed!
