Hi Everyone,
A quick test update to see if this system works!
We left from Southampton a day early on Saturday 3 July. Following a quick stop off in Hamble on Saturday morning to see Pat & Tony and a few friends we set off to go to Yarmouth. Imagine our surprise when instead of going to Chichester, Pat & Tony arrived in Yarmouth to give us a proper send off! After dinner onboard Galadriel we had an early night in order to set off for Alderney at 5am on Sunday. The weather was calm and clear and we had a good motor sail across the channel.
On arrival in Alderney harbour we anchored up, and even left Seaduced for a short time while we went to the pub - we made sure we could see her from the beer garden though! Leaving her on anchor for the first time was a bit scary!
On Monday we had another early start to head to Guernsey. We sailed outside of the Casquets lighthouse, and then straight south to St Peter Port. Fabulous sail once we turned the corner, belted into Guernsey in about 4 hours! Whilst in Guernsey we ordered a seafood platter (photo attached to get you all drooling!).
We are currently in St Quay Portrieux, on the north coast of Brittany, a very quaint french seaside town, with fabulous sunshine (long may it last!) and setting off to go west tomorrow to meet Doug & Lance our crew for crossing the Bay of Biscay.
More info to follow - once I get the hang of it!!!
