| What was that I said about better weather today? It has rained all night and this morning, bearing in mind we are about 400yds from shore, we can see nothing from the boat at all through the driving rain. The clear water of yesterday, which was lovely to swim in has turned the colour of chocolate, and now we can see why - all the water from the mountains runs straight down into the sea. It will probably be a day or two before it clears completely. The good news is that so far, and I say this with extreme caution, the window that we thought was causing the leak in our cabin seems to be holding up well - fingers crossed! This morning has been spent starting to read all those manuals and reference books that you buy with the best of intentions, put on a shelf and basically ignore. John is looking at electricity, his pet hate and desperately hoping the rain will stop so can go out and the book can go back on the shelf. |
