On the way to Coober Pedy

Usually, I wouldn't have too much to write about a 400km drive along a straight road, passing only one roadhouse on the way, and this is no different, I just wanted to show you some pictures of the emus, and the huge salt lakes that we saw along the way. You can drive for an hour or two and see nothing, next you see a sign for a viewpoint, so you stop and as you drive into the car park you are rewarded with a great view. So here are the photos.

What turned out to be a very small salt lake - so small we were barely able find it on the map at the viewpoint despite a large 'you are here' sign!

The Ghan train track which runs along the salt lake linking Darwin in the north and Adelaide in the south.
