Skipper popping the cork
We are now very near to Cape Verde and longing to pick up the trade winds which will take us over the ocean - the problem this year is that the trade winds aren't exactly following their usual pattern and we will therefore need to go much further South to pick them up, also on every forecast they seem to be 2 days away - we live in hope!
Lance was feeling a little left out in the fish catching so he was allowed to put a line out on the strict proviso that if he caught another mahi-mahi, it had to go back unless it was a decent size. Lance's only success in fishing to date had been a flying fish which had landed on the deck overnight and died - there are at least 3 or 4 dead fish on the deck each day at the moment. Nevertheless he 'proudly' hung his catch on the back rail with the others - the only problem was that his fish in it's entirety was not as big as the tail fins of previous days!
John and Doug with Lance's catch of the day - for whatever reason we were unable to get Lance to pose with his fish!!
