Today is the occasion of Doug's 65th birthday. Tonight we are celebrating at the Crew Dinner organised for boats over 15m, which is most of the people from our pontoon. Lance had bought some special flags to add to the decoration on Seaduced in honour of this occasion.

Despite it being Doug's birthday the Skipper refused to allow a day off - the boys all went to school in the morning for a lecture on rigging which John and I had done the week before. They did manage to negotiate a couple of hours off afterwards and spent some down time looking round the old town. We had hung the banners in Doug's absence and to John's horror he got a lot of compliments on how well he looked for 65!!! He was very glad to see Doug return to the boat.
Post lunch it was business as usual and we set about knocking a few jobs off the seemingly never ending list - by the time we were finished we were all exhausted but ready to head out for Doug's party, which was a dinner in a restaurant on the marina which again involved lots of free wine, good food and even some dancing at the end, although we decided to call it a day and head to Sailors bar for a quiet drink instead.
