We left Tenerife on 28 October to go to Las Palmas in Gran Canaria. We had spent a very lazy week in Tenerife, doing some sunbathing and basically taking a very relaxing week off. We stayed in San Miguel, where John's mum has an apartment and spent quite a bit of time with her and Oliver. Frankie and her friend Katey spent most of the week sunbathing either on the beach or by the pool, whilst we did some, but not many, jobs and tried to get some of the items we still need to but prior to our trip across the Atlantic.
Gran Canaria is about 80 miles away so we decided to go overnight as this would mean that we could leave Tenerife in daylight and arrive in daylight at the other end. We arrived exhausted as I had been quite sea sick for the first time in ages and John had to do some extra time on deck. This is now our last stop before we cross the atlantic.

Mary came to wave us off when we left Tenerife - and sends her best wishes to all the crew crossing the Atlantic.
