Recently, we realised that despite having a compressor on board, and 4 full sets of diving gear, it is 15 months since we last ventured below the surface of the water! For one reason and another, we have simply never made the time, there is always something else that needs doing. When we met up with David and Suzanne, it turned out that they were recently PADI qualified and keen to have another go at diving. It was the perfect excuse to get our act together!
There is a nice dive site just off the smaller island of Terre Basse in Les Saintes, called La Pâté. Small, relatively shallow and perfect for those of us (John & I), who practically needed to do a scuba review before being let loose on our own again!
The run out to the dive site was a bit rough and swelly, but once we got kitted up and in the water it was lovely. A really nice dive, except for a school of scary looking barracudas at one point! We all really enjoyed the dive and might even do it all again tomorrow - watch this space......
