A bit of an update from Les Saintes!

I have just realised it's been a while since the last post! Not quite sure what to write actually as we don't seem to have done a lot, but we have been really busy!
After we left Nevis, we headed down towards Antigua. We were stopping off there for two reason, one to pick up the new hoses for our water tanks and also to meet up with some friends who we were going to sail with down to Les Saintes.
Antigua was packed - when we arrived at 6pm on the last night of Classics Week we looked at the anchorage in Falmouth Harbour from the sea and wondered how we would ever find a space. On closer inspection, once we arrived, it wasn't too bad and we found a spot right at the back - the next morning, once a few of the boats had left we looked like Billy No Mates parked in the middle of nowhere! It was lovely and quiet though, only a minute or two further out by dinghy, but without the constant flow of dinghies past the boat night and day.
Once we had cleared in, first thing Monday morning, we could start the process of accessing our spare parts from the customs holding area - never straightforward in any island, and we eventually had them in our hand by 5pm Tuesday evening, now all we had to do was fit them. John managed to get the water tank up and running again relatively easily, and we ready to go again.
We had arranged to have a few days in Antigua while we, and the crew of Suzie Too, David and Suzanne, got ourselves straight. We treated ourselves to a farewell lunch at Catherine's Cafe on Thursday, and left on Friday. It is a good job we did this, Catherine's Cafe is our favourite restaurant in Antigua and very high on our all time favourite list in the Caribbean, and when we come back to Antigua on 17 May, they will already be closed for the summer.
Friday morning dawned clear and sunny and both boats motored out of Falmouth just after 8am, in light to moderate winds. What a fantastic sail we had to Deshaies, Guadeloupe. We had arranged to get photos of each others boats on the way across and got some great shots.
After a short rest of a couple of days exploring Deshaies, we went south to Les Saintes. We stopped off at Pigeon Island on the way for a swim and to wait and see if the wind picked up, it was very light when we left. Pigeon Island is the home of the Cousteau National Park, a marine reserve. When we first got in it was beautiful and teeming with fish, by the time we got out, about an hour later, loads of snorkelling boats had arrived and there were more folk than fish!!
