Day 6 - 6/7 May
This afternoon we had a cracking sail until about 7pm, which was totally
unexpected as the weather was set to be calm. The wind eventually dropped
and we got the engine on overnight. When the sun came up we got the sails
up again and had our first sighting of Bermuda at 11am. You have to get
quite close to see it as the island is largely flat. Bermuda radio call
you as you arrive and guide you in - their office is on the only hill with
a huge antenna, they could see us from a long way out. We eventually
arrived at about 2.30pm, 6 days, 2 and a half hours after we left Antigua.
Since arriving, we have cleared in and spent two hours putting the boat
back together again. We are now going to sit in the sunshine and
celebrate with a nice cold glass of champagne!

Distance so far 945 miles
