It has been a lovely day. Supper is in the oven and I’ve been enjoying some warm sunshine. The wind is still blowing F5-6though. On such I lovely evening I thought I’d enjoy a glass of wine but had literally a single sip before it spilled, so I’ve taken that as an omen and not refilled it!
The wind has varied quite a bit in both strength and direction so I have spent quite a bit of time changing from reaching sail with or without spinnaker pole to genoa and back again I am probably being over cautious but I do not want any breakages and now I have the ordinary genoa set.
I’ve made great progress South and have now altered course to get closer to the coast. This involves crossing the main shipping lane which is pretty busy and of course I want to do this before dark.it is only 185 to Lisbon.
Supper smells good!
